Hones cuckoo clocks have built and maintained a long standing reputation as being high quality black forest clocks. Hones put a great emphasis on quality craftsmanship, which is why they continue to source nearly all of their clock parts from local producers out of the black forest of Germany. Hones is located in Titisee-Neustadt where they produce every one of their cuckoo clocks by hand.
Like many traditional clockmakers out of the black forest region, Hones make every one of their cuckoo clocks by hand, never opting to mass produce their popular time pieces. The current general manager of Hones,Wolfgang Trenkle, has been building and fixing black forest clocks since he was a child, making him a perfect leader for a company who's carrying on the traditional clock making practices.
It is no surprise that the Hones name stands for quality worldwide. Every Hones cuckoo clock is made of solid wood, all figurines are hand carved and hand painted, and all pieces are carefully assembled by hand. A Hones cuckoo clock was named "Cuckoo clock of the Year" in 2006 by the Black Forest Clock Association. All of the Hones clocks with mechanical movements come with a VdS certificate of authenticity.
